The Role

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager who can support the continued success of our market leading Capital Markets advisory team. They will help grow the Capital Markets proposition by supporting client engagements, business development activities and value propositions.
We are looking for an individual experienced in Capital Markets transformation programmes, are highly motivated and passionate about what they do. We value experience with ESG and other regulatory driven transformation and/or industry experience in particular control and compliance work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engagements / workstreams covering i) advisory and implementation support, and ii) post implementation independent reviews
  • Assist business impact assessments and target operating model design / reviews
  • Support projects through all of the key stages of a transformation project, from diagnostic to implementation.
  • Planning, leading and performing analysis by applying analytic techniques on large operational transformation engagements
  • Help formulate propositions and solutions that meet client requirements
  • Business development support across key market propositions
  • Mentor and help manage teams of 1-2 junior consultants
  • Support development and conversion of a pipeline of opportunities through sell-on and/or new work
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within the sector, leveraging industry content and delivery capability
The Person

  • Experience in a major Capital Market institution’s internal consulting team or change function (business or technology) or experience in an external consulting firm (e.g. Big 4, Boutique, Strategy, Technology)
  • Expertise in core consulting methodologies such as process mapping, business case development, strategy development and requirements gathering.
  • Experience in assisting the delivery of change programmes across sell side, buy side or financial market infrastructure firms. Key topics could include; large scale business and technology transformation projects (e.g. migration to new platforms, development of new digital business models) or responding to regulatory driven changes (ESG, IDPR, LIBOR)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of trade lifecycle, with deep understanding of current trends in capital markets.
  • Deep knowledge in at least one of the following: an Asset Class / Regulation / Business Function / Capital Markets technology
  • Track record of successful delivery across Capital Market institutions. Experience in initiation through to implementation of change projects covering business impact assessment, requirements analysis and change delivery
  • Deep understanding of key industry, market and regulatory drivers shaping the industry and an ability to articulate these by way of client opportunities
  • Experience in Project/Program Management and business analysis
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Team player with a proven ability to mentor, help manage and train 1-2 junior consultants
  • Demonstrated commitment to challenge themselves, seek out opportunities and ability to grow with the role
  • Self-aware with strong interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to build authentic client relationships.
