Arconic is currently in search of Capital Engineering Project Manager to join our Global Rolled Products Engineering and Technology team. Position will be based in Kitts Green, UK.

Primary Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the management of capital investments within Global Rolled Products and Extrusions business unit, ensuring capital efficiency, completion of Front-End studies and successful execution of projects.

Key objectives:

  • Working with locations, help develop annual and five-year capital plans.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to locations in the development of business case.
  • Lead, guide locations in the completion of FEL2 and FEL3 studies.
  • Complete scope and estimate reviews.
  • Lead, guide locations in development of project execution plans and sound project management.
  • Support locations in their application for funding.
  • Manage projects from conception through to successful start and hand over.
  • Guide and provide oversight to location Project Managers to ensure successful execution, coaching and mentoring for success.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering Discipline from an accredited university
  • 5 years’ experience managing capital projects in an industrial company or contractor
  • 3 years project execution experience in an industrial setting
  • Excellent command of English, written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Experience in metals processing equipment and processes, ideally Aluminum
  • Overseas project experience is desirable
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • The ability to speak, Russian, Chinese or Hungarian is desirable.

Travel %:

  • Up to 25%. Role will require short term travel to GRP/AEX locations on a regular basis, (25 - 50%), however there may be occasions when the role will require a full-time presence at the location for execution of a project.
  • The incumbent needs to be able to travel to Russia, Europe, China and USA.
