An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Cancer Services Directive as a Project Manager to manage the implementation of a wide range of cancer projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to improving cancer services for the patients at Wye Valley Trust.

The Cancer Transformation manager will play a crucial role within the cancer services team and will be responsible for working with cancer specialties across the trust in order to improve cancer performance to meet both local and national targets.

We are looking for someone who is creative with ideas, the ability to make strong and confident decisions while solving problems, and the ability to manage teams effectively.

The successful candidate will require in-depth knowledge of cancer pathways and cancer waiting time targets. Have excellent organisational skills, demonstrate the ability to work independently, using their own initiative, and be willing to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the service.

The post holder will be responsible for a wide range of Cancer Projects and other assigned activities as required. The post holder will lead the projects throughout the projects lifecycle, build relationships with key stakeholders and adhere to both local and national objectives in order to implement.

The post holder will manage on a day to day basis various tasks required to scope out and implement the projects working both with colleagues in the Cancer Services Directorate, wider Wye valley colleagues and those working in other NHS Trusts where applicable.

The post holder will be responsible for producing documentation relating to cancer projects and ensure they are maintained throughout.

Wye Valley NHS Trust is a member of an NHS Foundation Group with South Warwickshire NHS FT , the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

Located on the border with Wales in the shadow of the Black Mountains, we provide acute and community services across Herefordshire and into parts of Powys and run Hereford County Hospital and the community hospitals in Bromyard, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye.

Worcestershire is our neighbouring county. The post holder will be required to travel between sites.
