Salary: £21,000.00 - £23,000.00

Qualifications:

• GCSE Maths & English at Grade C/Level 4 or above
• Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance (willing to work towards)

Skills/Experience

Essential

· Ability to handle difficult calls

· Excellent communicator and negotiation skills

· Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively

· Confident numeracy skills

Desirable

· Experience of working in a contact centre, or customer service environment

· Previous experience of debt recovery

· Previous Insurance experience

By joining our Customer Retention team at BCD, you will be the first point of contact for our customers to discuss the cancellation of their policy. Through inbound and outbound contact you will need to use your communication and objective handling skills whilst you establish the needs of the customer, identify potential gaps in cover and finalise the outcome of their policies.

You will need to be able to work under pressure and have an eye for numbers in our fast paced environment whilst having the ability to work with high accuracy.

Training:

• 6 Month Induction / Probation Training plan
• Ongoing training via monthly 121’s, Team Training and External support
• Continuous development via Industry recognised training system, minimal one course per month covering topics across Insurance Industry
• Support to complete further industry qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve individual objectives and key performance indicators as set and agreed
• Establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with colleagues, Insurers Third Parties and Customers, promoting a professional business image.
• Attend regular Buzz Meetings starting at 8.50am with your team
• Provide professional support and advice to clients & Insurers, ensuring high levels of service and client satisfaction throughout the life cycle of their insurance
• Be proactive and maximise all business opportunities making clients aware of alternative products (generating leads), advising clients of potential gaps in cover and promoting insurance reviews with clients wherever possible
• Ensure all policy administration is dealt with in a professional and timely manner
• Calculating Insurer premiums and finance balances, finalising & collecting balances and or arranging refunds.
• Maximising cash collection through the provision of effective and efficient communication and negotiation skills.
