We are currently seeking a hardworking and proficient Calibration Engineer to work in our UKAS accredited calibration laboratory in Hindley Near Wigan, We calibrate , repair and service all types of mechanical and electrical instrumentation for a wide verity of industries, Railway, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Automotive, Health Care, Aeronautical, Energy suppliers to mention a few. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day calibrations as well as some administration and repair tasks.

Your responsibilities will be:

Booking in / dispatch of instruments

Calibration & repair of instruments

Writing / approval of calibration procedures

Technical support

Meeting customers dead lines.

As a successful candidate you will have:

Suitable recognised qualifications and or experience

time spent in a transferable engineering position

An understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles

Communication, organisational and team work skills

Initiative, focus and commitment

It would be preferred if you had experience in an dimensional UKAS accredited calibration laboratory but not essential.

Be able to carry out basic repair tasks

You will work within a dedicated team that’s part of a successful growing group of companies. Working 40 hours per week + Over time with 20 days free choice holidays per year,
