Job description

Due to continued success and growth this industry leading manufacturer in the Cardiff area currently require a CAD Technician & Technical Support/Administrator to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Liaise with internal departments and external customers and suppliers to obtain any missing information or to resolve any queries in relation to drawings/products
Product technical drawings to enable the manufacture of products/components
Create/modify BOM’s (bills of materials)
Provide information on BOM changes
Technical support on products to internal departments and customers
Provide drawings for products to internal departments and customers
Product renders
Costing and quotation support as required to internal departments, liaising with supply chain and/or suppliers when needed
Complete relevant product databases

Experience/Skills:

3D CAD proficiency (ideally Solidworks but any 3D CAD will be considered)
Ideally you will have knowledge of design and product development processes
Good level of literacy and numeracy
Customer service or support experience
Experience within a manufacturing environment or excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes
Good level of computer literacy
Previous experience compiling technical databases or BOM’s would be an advantage
Happy to be within a CAD Technician & Technical Support/Administrator position for the long term
