Tower Hamlets Homes is an award winning ALMO (Arm’s Length Management Organisation). We are a not-for-profit company set up in 2008 to deliver high quality housing services for residents living in Tower Hamlets.

We have travelled a long way in the past few years and have built a strong track record in improving our performance and delivering quality services to our residents and communities. This was a major factor in the recent decision of our sole shareholder (the London Borough of Tower Hamlets) to extend our management agreement by a further eight years from July 2020. Following this decision, we have shaped a new business plan – Create Great – to give us focus over the coming years.

We are now recruiting an experienced Cad Surveyor with extensive experience in Building Services to join our Capital Programme Delivery Team on a permanent basis, and who will have responsibility for architectural and engineering design to construction layout and final as-built surveys of our Investment Works Programme.

With around 21,000 Council managed housing properties the successful candidate will specify, manage and deliver a range of building related works including architectural design, maintenance, fire prevention, stock condition and verification surveys.

You will have the ability to provide expert advice on mechanical related matters and supervise various contracts for Major Works and repairs maintenance. Crucially, you will have the capability to monitor and report on multiple programs of work and keep up to date with legislation and current professional standards.

You will be able to research and apply life cycle costs, ensuring the long-term sustainability of investments under works, and you will have knowledge of and the ability to detect good workmanship, quality and materials which do not conform to the client’s standards, specifications, and building regulations.

With good communication skills you will be confident building strong relationships with our residents, colleagues, contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders to ensure best practice is carried out and met under statutory and corporate requirements.

Would you like to help Tower Hamlets Homes create thriving, safe and sustainable neighbourhoods where residents can be proud of their homes, respect one another, and realise their potential?

If you have the desire and ambition to make a positive difference to our residents, we would very much like to hear from you.
