This new vacancy is to join a leading UK manufacturer who have significant growth plans and as a result have a new vacancy for a CAD Engineer to join the team. An experienced CAD professional you will interpret engineering drawings to develop both 2d & 3d designs.

Salary: £ 26,000 - £ 30,000 + Benefits

The Role

You will be responsible for creating design proposals and concepts, and to take decisions regarding engineering changes.
Verify design solutions together with the customer manufacturing teams.
Ensure 2D & 3D Design and release according to time plan, customer specifications and required methodology.
Ensuring issues and raised and escalated, and technical issues are followed up on and addressed.
Assist with Production planning & Scheduling

The person

An experienced user of CAD software (Sigmanest preferable not essential)
Confident in a customer facing role and be able to work on your own initiative.
You must understand the practical and technical applications of modern designs and be able to attend site visits where needed.
Knowledge of sheet metal would be advantageous.
