Escape Recruitment’s client, based in Dunfermline, is currently seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join their team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for processing information and adhering to industry standards while utilising CAD software. You will provide guidance and support to team members, including apprentices and other trainees, and assist colleagues with CAD and product design when needed.The RoleProcess information in compliance with the company’s electronic data management system and industry standards.Provide guidance on modelling and CAD best practices.Mentor and support CAD apprentices and other team members.Offer CAD and product design assistance to colleagues.Create 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing components and process them for review within agreed timelines.Lead CAD design for various products, including conceptual design layouts, tolerance stack-ups, and assembly drawings.Attend design reviews and provide input to design discussions.Alert CAD Lead and Design Engineer to task alterations and timescale delays.Utilize electronic data management systems for generating Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Part Reports, and Quality Notifications (QNs).Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as CAD, Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.Provide feedback and support to CAD and Engineering teams.Conduct draughting reviews for equipment.Produce engineering documentation as requested.The CandidateModern Apprenticeship in Engineering Design or equivalent, or relevant experience in a design environment using 3D design applications.Proficiency in creating layouts, tolerance stack-ups, schematics, and manufacturing information from detail drawings to full assembly drawings.Experience in conducting draughting reviews.HNC Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Adaptability to CAD and Information Technology software applications.Strong team participation skills and a positive attitude.Desirable:Familiarity with Unigraphics/Siemens NX.Extensive experience with subsea equipmentIf you are a talented CAD Designer seeking a challenging opportunity to work within a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you.
