Job Title: Cable Jointer Job Location: Northwest of the UK - M62 Corridor Salary: Up to £45 000 + up to 50% overtime pay Employment Type: Full time Job Description: This is an excellent opportunity to grow with the company and earn a good salary. A reputable company is looking for a hardworking and motivated Cable Jointer to conduct emergency Callouts for IDNO network faults, maintenance and planned works. A two man Jointer team is required.
  • You will be working closely with another jointer to make it a 2 man team.
  • Installation and Maintenance of LV cable
  • Carry out LV jointing activities including fault diagnosis and repair
  • Implement safety requirements for the jointing activity
  • Used approved tools/ equipment to prepare cables for jointing activities in accordance with company procedures.
  • The Jointer must have a track record of LV jointing with an appropriate CSCS card. Person Specification: Cable Jointer
  • The Cable Jointer should have experience working with DNO’s.
  • Experience working with cable fault location equipment e.g., cable sniffer, Rezap, TDR and Fusemate.
  • FAULT EXPERIENCE - IS A MUST
  • Full clean diving license
  • Candidate should have a CSCS Card and Emergency First Aid
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to excellent customer service and working as a team.
  • Able to work well under pressure and responsive to changing demands.
  • Good ability to navigate and resolve problems.
  • The Jointer must have a track record of jointing with an appropriate CSCS card and working on FAULTS
