Ontic is the leading global provider of OEM-pedigree parts, MRO Services and serviceable parts for legacy aerospace platforms. Due to our continued success and to support our ambitious growth plans we are looking for a number of Buyers to join our team based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham.What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll be responsible for quality, cost and delivery performance for non production procurement, ensuring the purchased parts and/or services are supplied/contracted on time to support the business requirements in line with business system. You’ll also be required to support multiple UK sites with contracts.You’ll lead specific supplier relationships, manage the introduction of new suppliers with the support of the SQA team, assess and manage the supply risks with various functional areas identifying and implement countermeasures to mitigate or eliminate the risk of supply.What You’ll Already HaveIdeally you’ll have worked in a similar role and already hold a CIPS level 3 or equivalent qualification.Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Excellent negotiation, organisational and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with an ability to deliver “outside of the box” solutions to commercial problems.
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Total cost of acquisition analytical skills desirable
  • Strong IT skills, including working knowledge of MS office and ERP systems (Visual and/or Syteline preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to be self-motivated and a confident decision maker within business approval guidelines
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team cross functionally and within the function demonstrating respect and understanding.
