As a core CAMHS worker you will liaise with a variety of professionals both within our own service and externally. We pride ourselves on our multi-disciplinary approach, and you will become a key member of our specialist team. You will be working in a supportive and friendly environment with professionals from a variety of clinical backgrounds. You will receive regular clinical supervision, as well the chance to consult with clinicians from our various pathways in order to help us deliver the best service we can.As a Community CAMHS Mental Health Worker you will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders. You will carry out routine assessments, help young people to develop collaborative care and risk management plans, and offer first level therapeutic interventions. You will offer screening for neurodevelopmental issues and make appropriate internal referrals in order to best support the young people we work with. The service offers a wide range of structured interventions such as CBT, systemic family therapy, DBT, IPT, and Positive Behaviour Support, and there are regular opportunities to develop your own skills further by completing training both internally and externally.Buxton CAMHS is part of Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
