Main duties of the job

To review all of the Deputy Chief Executive’s correspondence, determining and ensuring appropriate actions, identifying areas of concern arising from correspondence and ensuring that the Deputy Chief Executives aware of such matters and that they are being handled in accordance with agreed protocols. Proactively deal with all incoming mail by logging, assessing and drafting responses as and when required, collating and distributing, leaving only essential items requiring the personal attention of the Deputy Chief Executive

To organise and plan the workload of the Deputy Chief Executive ensuring that the arrangements for meetings and appointments are managed effectively; that any relevant meeting material is available as appropriate and that workflow is scheduled so that deadlines are met. The post holder must be able to accommodate both proactive and reactive situations.
