Position Summary:

Main goal is to support the Company HR Function in line with key business objectives, helping to make the HR Department a highly cost-effective, valued and well regarded resource for managers, employees and associates alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with internal and external inquiries and requests received by the HR department.
  • Compiling and maintaining paper, electronic and platform-based employee records, including attendance, holiday and sickness information.
  • Maintain the site time and attendance system, including any associated activities, such as liaising with provider, issuing and ordering of access cards.
  • Supporting HR-related training programs, workshops and other initiatives including CSR activities, Site Magazine
  • Administration support for a range of employment and employee relations matters including but not limited to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance and disciplinary matters.
  • Participation on interview panels and execution of the HR associated employee on-boarding activities
  • Prepare Occupational Health management referral paperwork, schedule appointments and provide updates to Managers and Environmental Health & Safety as necessary.
  • Provide support to ensure an accurate and timely payroll and administration service to the site.
  • Prepare and communicate HR related statistical information and reports.
  • Ensure HR communication information is maintained and kept up to date.
  • Work collaboratively with, and provide cover as necessary, for the Production Administrator
  • Effectively perform your duties whilst acting at all times in accordance with the Dignity at Work Policy, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and our values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.
  • Embrace and participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives to identify improvements and cost savings to the business.
  • Actively encourage and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Any other duties as required from time to time identified by the HR Manager, commensurate with the post-holder’s abilities, experience and authorities.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A strongly pro-active, helpful, ‘can-do’ attitude;
  • A creative, resourceful and tenacious problem-solver and solution-finder;
  • Enjoys dealing with people and is able to communicate effectively and concisely at all levels;
  • Self-managing and self-motivating, with excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks effectively and meet customer deadlines and expectations;
  • A clear enthusiasm for the role and strong desire to continuously develop and improve own performance and departmental performance;
  • Competent using Microsoft Office package i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint, and other database systems for data related to people management
  • Demonstrate confidentiality
  • Attention to detail, data integrity is key
  • GCSE passes in English, Mathematics and ICT
