This is a new opportunity with a construction and property group based in Shropshire with a combined turnover in excess of £50m, from varying revenue streams. The core business has operated for 25years and remains privately owned. You will be a member of the senior management team, who is responsible for driving and delivering strategic business objectives. You will have proven experience in senior management and a broad level understanding of operational matters including human resource, commercial, compliance, administration and process improvement. Main Responsibilities You are the first port of call on operational day to day matters. You will have the ability to understand the root cause and take required action to ensure smooth and consistent running of the daily business. Lead and/or be key player in project teams to implement strategic operational projects e.g. introduction of software platforms to improve working procedures. Proactively manage company governance reporting across the business to ensure accurate and timely information is presented to the Directors on a monthly basis. Assist with human resource matters and tasks including onboarding, recruitment, probation and appraisals. Work collaboratively with other senior managers within the business to ensure ongoing compliance in health and safety, both to external and internal standards. Be responsible for the ongoing implementation of ISO accreditation to ensure internal processes are reviewed and maintained. Manage company accreditations including Constructionline, FIS and FIRAS working with relevant teams. Lead and manage the admin team to ensure processes are productive and robust. Assist with management and co-ordination of property legal matters including tracking of progress of sales. Assist in marketing and promotion of the business brand and image, both externally and internally. Explore internal/external initiatives and improvements applying business rationale and presenting to Directors for review. Skills / Experience Proven track record in a similar role. Construction and property industry would be advantageous. Outstanding organisation skills with the ability to make decisions at the level of the post. Strong people management and interpersonal skills. Forward looking thinker, who can identify opportunities and challenges; propose and implement solutions. Ability to adapt quickly to new plans/ideas whilst maintaining the company objectives and uphold best practices.
