One of the UK’s leading distributors of fire safety systems is looking for an entrepreneurial and sales-focused Business Manager to run their business in Rochdale. The business supply high quality & innovative fire systems for the U.K. and International Market and are part of a global group of companies employing over 2,000 people throughout the UK. With year on year growth and a current group UK turnover of over £900 million, they are a well-established business with a fantastic reputation.

The Opportunity

The role of a Business Manager within this group is an exciting one where you will have full control of running, in effect, your own business. You will have full autonomy and freedom over sales, stock, purchasing, staffing, logistics, trading hours and much more.

As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for the running of the entire business with support from the wider group. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being at the forefront of managing relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Mentoring and developing both internal and external staff within the business
  • Ensuring the achievement of your set targets and objectives
  • Being instrumental in ensuring continued business growth
  • Managing some large and key customer accounts

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should be:

  • From a wholesale and distribution background
  • An excellent negotiator in both sales and purchasing
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record of developing long-lasting relationships with both suppliers and customers
  • A natural leader who is keen to either step up to management or looking for a new challenge within their managerial career
