We’re looking for a BI Analyst manager, preferably from an insurance or motor industry background, to join us and help to deliver business intelligence solutions across our organisation as we build out our data team. We’ve got a big job on our hands to transform the way we use data. And when we get it right, it’ll have even bigger benefits for our customers and colleagues.

The right person will be responsible for gathering data to enable understanding. You’ll have a proven track record in BI and can understand trends and impacts to forecast business performance and risks.

Alongside this you can demonstrate resilience and tenacity to recognise operational challenges and issues and to help deliver profitable, scalable operational solutions.

Key responsibilities:

- Identify business challenges and opportunities to support stakeholders articulate their business needs.

- Work with the team to build compelling and action-driving intelligence aligned to core business needs to deliver meaningful insight that drives measurable outcomes.

- Develop a good understanding of processes and associated tools and resources throughout the business.

- Develop and maintain appropriate documentation (e.g underwriting reports) to support change to processes and business solutions.

- Contribute to the development of an insight-led culture and mindset across the business.

- Define quality standards across the team and monitor service levels to ensure the highest standards of delivery.

Skills & Experience:

- Interpret business information from a variety of internal and external sources.

- Demonstrable evidence of gathering, analysing and documenting business processes.

- Sound business acumen, commercially and risk aware.

- Experience of providing strategic advice and commercial, integrated research, insight, data and analytics expertise to senior executives.

- Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to liaise, influence, challenge effectively and build relationships.

- Excellent people management skills and experience of building high performing teams.

- Excellent project leadership and organisation skills.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to identify and analyse alternative approaches to dealing with issues and problems.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required

- 5+ years’ experience in a BI / analyst role preferably withing insurance or automotive.

- Experience using BI analytical tools eg Qlik, Power BI, SQL
Data-driven with superior quantitative and qualitative analytic skills

- Self-motivated and self-directed with good time management skills

- Fast learner – can achieve super user status on multiple tools quickly
