About the role

Coventry University has been successful in securing funding to build a new 5G demonstrator facility under the banner of uxplore. The project and new state of the art 5G hub will establish a range of physical and virtual business support options for eligible companies across the Coventry & Warwickshire area.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of business innovation, experience in developing business opportunity, product development and business development. You do not necessarily have to have the technical capabilities, just the right mind-set to be willing to learn!

Key Responsibilities

The Business Innovation Delivery Manager will be a responsible for the delivery for multiple business support streams. The role requires a balance between technical capability and commercial acumen to deliver the following key reasonability’s for the uxplore project.

  • Supporting the day to day running of the 5G demonstrator and service the delivery management of all eligible SME clients
  • Proactively guiding SME’s through the uxplore onboarding process, promoting the capabilities of the uxplore hub, and championing the adoption of 5G technology
  • Identify and document the processes needed to drive service excellence with existing suppliers.
  • Maintain project client monitoring systems needed to maintain effective day to day delivery of projects and goals
  • Identify improvements to existing service delivery, gain business approval for improvement initiatives & drive implementation
  • In partnership with Business Development, develop new services offerings, together with promotional material for the demonstrator
  • Take responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation, delivery and satisfactory completion of projects objectives.
  • Lead project meetings, including kick-off, status updates, and other project stage/gate meetings in a structured and professional manner capturing actions that are managed through to timely completion.
