What you’ll be doing…

An exciting opportunity to lead and develop Future Publishing’s work in the field of Influencer Marketing and Social Media innovation.

Our commercial team is recruiting for a new role based at the heart of our operations, bringing social expertise and influencer strategy to our content campaign work.

This is a unique time to help shape and grow Future’s team developing new Social Media initiatives and products to better engage with our brand followers.

You will need to have first hand experience of, and be able to demonstrate working with Influencers on previous commercial projects - plus have a deep understanding of how to create maximum impact and consumer buy-in for our clients.

You will need to be able to build from the ground up, a go to market strategy for Influencer Marketing campaigns, across multiple verticals - including Women’s Lifestyle, Homes and Gardens, Technology, Sports & Gaming. This will include building sellable products, at competitive pricing models, across multiple different platforms (e.g. Youtube, Twitter, TikTok).

These products will include (but may not be limited to) both influencer integration into Future owned and operated branded content programmes, and Influencer campaigns across their native platforms only.

You will need to work collaboratively with the sales leads of each vertical, to take these products to market, and monetise them at profitable margins.

You will also be spearheading the development and management of the Social Media planning and buying team, who are at the heart of our commercial content offering when amplifying commercial campaigns.


Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

Influencer Marketing

  • Experience in the development of an influencer marketing agency. This is important as you will be responsible for starting an in-house influencer agency at Future from scratch.
  • Experience in product development and go to market strategy. This is important as you will be building social and influencer products and packages that will rinse and repeat across all our verticals and markets to generate additional commercial advertising revenues.
  • Understand the best marketing practices working with and managing Influencers
  • Have existing knowledge of content creators and rates suitable for different projects and brands - micro and macro influencers
  • Show experience of developing strong relationships with talent across different platforms and agencies.
  • Actively keep a pulse on emerging influencers and trends through various social media channels such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Know which influencers are fit for sector or vertical campaigns or know how to find the right influencers for the strategy and budget agreed with clients.
  • Be able to demonstrate a great passion, understanding and experience within the influencer industry.

Social Media

  • It is important that you have a clear understanding of how to communicate with different audiences using each channel.
  • Clear ability to lead on the creation of materials for presenting/pitching to clients
  • You will have an excellent knowledge of how to optimise the role of Paid Social Media in the promotion of commercial content.
  • Be able to reflect the different strategies required - between luxury advertisers, FMCG clients, aesthetically-focused and brand sensitive partners.
  • You will need to work closely with the Creative Solutions team to tailor Paid Social Media opportunities to make packages practical and impactful.
  • Ability to manage a team of day to day campaign managers delivering excellent client service.
  • Need to be able to recognise where strategic pivots are necessary and recommend recruitment required and/or changes to campaign prioritisation.
