Purpose

The Business Development Representative will be a key part of the expanding NBS Sales team. Responsible for building a well-qualified pipeline for the new business Senior/Business Development Managers team selling a portfolio of NBS products to the manufacturing and specification industry a critical role as NBS continues to grow at pace.

The job holder will be responsible for generating pipeline for expanding the footprint in new business accounts, working closely with the Senior/Business Development Managers team & Marketing team to achieve/exceed opportunity pipeline and revenue quota objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, contact and qualify customers to achieve/exceed demand generation targets through inbound marketing source leads and outbound targeted campaign execution.
  • Generate high quality pipeline, qualified using NBS Sales methodology.
  • Effectively utilise a variety of channels such as social media, internet, web-based tools & outbound calling.
  • Work with internal teams to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans to ensure quality communication plans are delivered to potential customers.
  • Work to individual quota, achieving qualified meeting targets for the field team to close
  • Pro-actively work with the Senior/Business Development Managers and marketing teams to identify and approach target customers for both the Manufacturer and Specifier markets.
  • Source and create contact list of target customers for outbound activity.
  • Demonstrate solution-selling and relationship-building skills.
  • Manage all CRM activity relating to your accounts.
  • Achieving set sales targets.
  • Act as an ambassador for NBS.
  • Provide a first class customer experience at all times.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in outbound sales preferably within architecture/construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Confident in making those cold calls to prospects with a robust, resilient approach to this.
  • Knowledge of a marketing approach to customers, their objectives and the sales cycle
  • Strong understanding of business and how key stakeholders make buying decisions
  • Exemplify personal drive and determination to succeed in the role
  • Ability to challenge the norm and strive for process excellence
  • Must be articulate, organised, detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Have proven personal success in sales
  • Power to influence decision makers, persuasive skills are essential
  • Tenacity, drive and a positive approach
  • Experience of Linkedin Sales Navigator desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient IT skills especially Microsoft Office and CRM systems
