Business Development Manager

Hours: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £30k-£36k per year, with generous commission structure and car allowance (OTE £50k, uncapped)

Location: Office based (Towcester) / flexible

We are seeking a highly ambitious and career-orientated individual who is eager to join a growing business with significant earning potential, as well as career development within the business.

SME National Awards are an exciting division of Events and PR, a company with a bright, forward-thinking and creative team. With many years of experience, the team of experts create events which celebrate and facilitate success in business. Their speciality is Business Awards, and they are proud to deliver a diverse range of awards nationwide which recognise the audacious entrepreneurs and business people working across all sectors.

This role is to develop our range of awards including our flagship SME National Business Awards. All the awards events take place at prestigious venues in London, and you will be joining a small, dedicated team, keen to develop our top-rated awards. These particular awards currently take place at Wembley Stadium every December.

To expand operations, we are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to support the fast-growing National awards.

The Role:

The role will be a combination of new business and key account management/growth. Clients will be from across a wide range of B2B’s.

Key skills and competencies:

  • of 4+ years partnership/sponsorship sales experience, media sales or similar
  • Have a proven track record in B2B sales
  • Confident, articulate, and professional
  • Used to selling to C level individuals
  • Cold call and generate new leads and enquiries
  • Effectively manage your own sales pipeline to be successful
  • Understand all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set out monthly
  • Convert a targeted percentage of all outbound telephone calls to appointment and subsequent appointments to new opportunities
  • Well trained in sales and sales process
  • Stable career history
  • Must own car and hold a full clean driving licence

There is a competitive salary with a generous commission based on performance, and a clear progression and development plan. There is a significant potential to realistically earn up to £50k within the first year and progress onto a more senior role.
