My client were established in 1988 and have grown to become a nationwide provider of cleaning and soft FM services. They can now boast a turnover of £17m and a workforce of 1400 plus, with the planned aim of growing to £30m. The services they offer include commercial cleaning, washroom consumables, hygiene rental services, recycling services, IT cleaning, carpet cleaning and window, high level and deep cleaning. The sectors they operate in include office cleaning, industrial, retail, education and government, medical and hospitality/leisure. Our Client is renowned for providing fantastic career opportunities and flexible working hours to their staff and two of the company Directors began their time with the company as cleaning operatives. Post COVID they have restructured the sales function, with a new strategy. Central to this is new strategy is a three tiered approach, with a specialist dealing with the incoming enquiries, a Senior Business Development Manager for the larger tenders/bids and a small head office based team of Business Development Managers dealing with proactive sales calls for the smaller contract market. The purpose of the Business Development role is to undertake activities to build a sales pipeline in order to achieve a new business annual sales target of £500k. Working Monday to Friday (Apply online only), you will be tasked with making calls to potential customers. You will be provided with the data to do so which could be based on location or sector. The successful candidate will be an individual who is quick to learn, keen on personal development, open minded and energetic. Previous experience of the soft FM/cleaning is not essential, experience and success in a telesales business to business environment is essential though. In return my client will invest in the individual with further career development. Candidates will be ideally based within easy access of the company’s head office just outside Edinburgh, although hybrid working would be considered for particularly strong candidates. Basic salary £27K, OTE circa £40k, (the commission structure is paid quarterly based on performance), 30 days holiday (inc.
