For businesses, we streamline the process of onboarding and paying the contractors.

Job Purpose:

The role holder will be responsible for generating new clients from the recruitment sector. Creating a portfolio of recruitment agency accounts by market mapping and creating your own business development strategy. You will be responsible for presenting both on a one to one and group basis to recruitment agencies. Managing relationships with FDs, MDs and C Level contacts and installing yourself as a subject matter expert within your field.

Accountabilities:

  • Identifying new prospects and developing a business development strategy to increase our client base.
  • Persuade and influence others, sell the benefits of working with Cool Company and negotiate effectively in a very competitive marketplace
  • Attend client meetings to sell Cool Company’s services at a Director and business owner level.
  • Deliver informative and engaging workshops and technical updates, contribute to the preparation and delivery of sales pitches
  • Proactively manage cost to acquire and return on investment for their portfolio in collaboration with the UK team
  • Any other duties that are deemed necessary to support the growth of the business.

Role Relationships and Reporting Lines:

Business Development Manager is an outbound sales specialist who builds long-term relationships, both over the phone and in-person with frontline recruiters, managers, back-office teams and owners/directors. They work independently and will take responsibility for their own achievement of goals and targets. They also work closely and build relationships internally to ensure that any client queries are managed in line with expected service standards.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

Essential:

  • 12+ months of selling to the recruitment sector ad a senior level
  • 12+ months working in the UK Umbrella Company industry
  • 12+ months of generating face to face appointments for self/others
  • Demonstrable skills in presenting using a technical slide deck
  • Adept with common office software including CRM systems and databases
  • Experience in communications including emails, LinkedIn updates & Messages, sales collateral
  • Ability to persuade and provide a professional point of view to clients
  • Demonstrable experience researching, mapping and nurturing new business prospects (not purely organic growth, query or renewals-driven)
  • An ability to make decisions and manage time effectively
  • A natural curiosity and interest in people, asking appropriate and relevant questions and tailoring responses.
  • Drivers license

Desirable:

  • Existing portfolio of recruitment clients
  • Experience in developing and maintaining an intermediary referrer network or channel sales
  • Salesforce CRM, Outlook and Office 365
