Are you ambitious and keen to progress your career in sales? We have an exciting new opportunity to supplement our already successful team.

We have an opportunity to work alongside our talented technical team to sell bearings to the automotive, aerospace and defence industries.


The business development manager primary responsibility will be to develop new business and contacting existing/dormant accounts to encourage sales growth. You will join a highly qualified team of technical sales specialists supporting a growing customer base primarily in the UK and Europe but extending into other Global markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling incoming customer enquiries, assessing their requirements and advising on the best technical solutions to their problems. Taking a consultative approach to sales you will help customers solve their engineering problems.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customers’ needs, account management and developing good working relationships to identify new opportunities within our current client base
  • Developing business through actively approaching customers and taking on inquires and providing quotes
  • Creating new leads and opportunities, by calling clients and setting up meetings to develop further business and to strengthen the client relationships
  • Developing relationships and getting to know client’s future requirements, to encourage customer loyalty and to secure more orders
  • Building a customer database and ensuring that we develop new business through calling and visiting leads
  • Keeping up to date with market changes and new technologies


About you


Our ideal candidate will have an engineering degree or diploma and have previous experience in a technical sales role.


Be proficient in sales techniques and ability to develop a sales process and strategy, using our marketing resources, cold calling and following up on leads, site visits and email campaigns to secure new business opportunities.


You will be a proven sales background and will be able to eloquently explain the sales process and the steps you would take to secure new business opportunities.


We are looking for an ambitious candidate who is IT literate, a strong team player and has a proactive, can-do attitude.


You will be used to working to sales targets, in return, we offer team and individual bonuses and a competitive salary and benefits structure.


You will likely have worked as a Sales representative, Business Development Manager or Sales Manager.
