Business Development Executive / Supplier Relationship Administrator
Salary: £26,000 + 1/4ly bonus
Location:Rochester - 100% office-based Overview My client is looking for an innovative and technically minded business development executive to join their team in Rochester.The key aim of the role is to grow the sales of a market leading test equipment product line, working alongside the field sales teams and playing a key role in managing our relationship with the supplier.Key customers are in universities, research labs and commercial organisations. The role Working closely with the businesses technical product managers, you will be the first point of contact for incoming enquiries for this product line, seeing the enquiry through from initial call to the customer, quotation and follow up call. In addition, you will be involved in promoting the supplier’s brand to our customers, by working alongside our marketing and telesales teams on campaigns and new product launches. You will develop strong relationships with our existing and past customers, proactively contacting them on a regular basis by phone and email. Job tasks include: Managing enquiries and generating quotesTaking the lead on regular meetings and calls with our supplier and field sales team to give updates on progress and lead generation activityOutbound warm sales callsContacting lapsed customers and post purchase follow upWorking with our supplier partner to register projects on their systemManaging the sales pipeline to ensure enquires are proactively progressed with accurate expected close datesAttend supplier trainings, webinars and online meetings About you Confident communicator both written and verballyAmbitious, willing to contribute ideas on how we can constantly improve the way we workStrong attention to detail needed for quoting, product selection and updating systems Ability to think commercially and prioritise working on opportunities with highest potential and find ways to strengthen customer relationships to convert ordersAble to communicate with stakeholders at all levels across a variety of platformsConfident communicating with customers by telephone and emailExcellent customer service skillsStrong organisational skillsEager to learn and strive for continuous developmentThe ability to work in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft computing tools - Word, Excel and Outlook Proven experience in a role with significant levels of telephone contact with customers and prospectsExperience in generating quotationsA minimum of 2 years Sales / Account Management experienceNext Steps If this sounds like you and you live within an easy distance of Rochester then we would love to hear from you.
