To drive the development and delivery of key business development initiatives to enable the achievement of the business’s strategic plan and profit/growth targets.
Focused on new service products and services and the development of asset rental models in line with the strategy.
Support the expansion and delivery of the business model in new markets.
To help to fully maximize the opportunities for development and promotion (and shareholder value) through active participation at Board & SLT level, and active management of risk.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy and delivery:
  • To develop existing and New brewery/ Customer relationships focused on asset rental products, Short Term Rental (STR)and Cycle Time Pricing (CTP) and developments thereof.
  • Develop existing customer relationships and broaden the products and service delivered to them.
  • Drive the Germany Territory plan - via the in-Market business introducer and partnership agreements. Support in Market business acquisition activity where required.
  • Drive delivery and growth of the EKegs+ CTP initiative to meet forecasts through the plan period.
  • Support and lead where appropriate cross functional teams to deliver new product development and new service delivery. Specify and coopt appropriate resources to deliver project plans.
  • Work closely with the MD and FD to drive the new product commercial agenda and deliver the business growth targets alongside the products and services
  • Continue to positively drive and encourage change and contribute new ideas to the team.
  • Regularly liaise with other members of the management team to ensure an integrated approach to the business is maintained.
  • Reports directly to the MD, and the Board, and provides regular board level business initiative updates.
Marketing and communication
  • Own and deliver the Marketing plan for new products and services in the container space
  • Own and deliver the Marketing plan for Germany
  • Work closely with in house Marketing and Divisional Marketing team to ensure corporate marketing alignment.
People
  • Recruit, train and employ high calibre employees within budget, headcount levels and temporary resource requirements
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
  • Provide oversight and direction to employees in accordance with the firm’s policies, procedures, standards and SLAs
  • Hold regular one-to-ones with direct reports ensuring that feedback is provided in a constructive way whilst working with the employee to facilitate personal development
  • Ensure that an effective performance review is operated in line with department guidelines, including setting objectives, personal development planning and performance standards with all direct reports
  • Working with the Managing Director and HR Business Partner, develop a culture of performance management, improvement and appraisal as a foundation for excellent organisational performance
  • Manage all departmental HR issues including monitoring absenteeism, and managing any capability and disciplinary issues
  • Ensure that team members complete online training when required and are kept abreast of any internal communications
Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
  • Keep TCF (treating customers fairly) at the heart of all sales activity.
Essential

Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in marketing, commercial and/or business development roles with proven track record of success
  • Senior leadership roles within asset rentals and or Brewing and logistics
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills
  • Previous role where numerate, analytical ability has been demonstrated
  • Ability to evaluate and appraise commercial proposals and business models
  • Ability to deliver results at pace without significant line manager intervention
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
Desirable
  • Experience in an intermediated sales environment
  • Knowledge in the UK & International Brewing market
  • Product / channel development expertise
  • Customer acquisition and retention strategies expertise
  • Ability to demonstrate the successful delivery of proposition development processes
Essential

Education:
  • Degree educated or equivalent relevant qualifications / experience
  • Experience of working in early stage and/or high growth environments
  • Advanced Excel and intermediate Office 365
