Role Description

Capco are looking for Business Architects to help financial services organisations define their enterprise business model, Business Capabilities, Value Stream and overall Business Strategy working in harmony with Technology goals.

As a Financial Crime Business Architect, you will be responsible for leading the definition of a Target Business Architecture Framework for Financial Crime, defining the Strategic Architecture Roadmaps for implementation including leading a technology or vendor selection process. You should have knowledge / experience of new technologies being used in Financial Crime (AML/Sanctions/Fraud) and be able to evaluate that from a functional point of view and ensure alignment to the Financial Crime Strategy.

You should have knowledge of the components within the technology eco system, data and the underlying business drivers used to implement the components.

The Business Architect will ensure business target operating model design is aligned to the Client’s IT strategy and roadmap, providing architecture input to project and programme governance boards.

Skills & expertise

  • AML (including KYC), CTF, Sanctions, Fraud Business Architecture understanding – capabilities, end‐to‐end value chain, organisational structures; and the linkage with strategies, products, policies, project initiatives, and stakeholders
  • Ability to arrive at a common understanding of the organisation to align strategic objectives and tactical demands
  • Financial Crime 3rd Party Platform/Vendor Knowledge/Implementation Experience (Preferably in Financial Services: Capital Markets, Wealth Management or Banking; or in industries with similar legacy and innovation)
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery methods in a large-scale Programme Delivery environment
  • Senior Stakeholder management and influencing, up to and including C-suite
  • Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Business Architecture Body of Knowledge (BIZBOK) knowledge
  • A TOGAF or BCS Architecture qualification is an advantage but not essential
