Purpose of the Role

Gather and analyze requirements, document options for change and agree these with business sponsors and solutions designers so that they meet or exceed business needs. Through valid analysis, facilitate effective design and delivery of change projects (technical) including provision of acceptance test strategy and plans.

This role is open to Remote working in the UK

Primary Responsibilities
  • Gain and maintain good knowledge and clear understanding of systems utilised in business including a clear view of the full capabilities of these systems and equally importantly how they are used
  • Act as a trusted business representative for the designated areas, understand and define business needs and agree these with business sponsors
  • Identify and fully understand formal and informal processes and activities within the designated area, determine key drivers and requirements as a basis to document the need for and impact of proposed changes
  • Identify opportunities to exploit and leverage existing systems to address problems with ‘zero build’ where possible
  • Act as a primary point of contact for business sponsors who are considering a change of business process, products or services etc identifying options for change and enhancement of business activity through process improvement, training, minor system/application changes, enhancements or new implementations as required
  • Identify opportunities for existing or future applications to add value by ensuring technology users understand how to get the most from their systems and providing training support as appropriate
  • Work as a full member of project team(s) throughout the lifecycle, owning the definition and documentation of valid business requirement specifications that aid in the development/enhancement of assigned systems or projects
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with designated business areas and colleagues in the TechOps teams
  • Plan, manage and support user acceptance testing for assigned work packages, projects and programmes

Professional Experience
  • Significant experience as a Business Analyst
  • Theoretical and practical expertise in analysis techniques with a track record of working on multiple engagements with competing priorities
  • Good understanding of software (SDLC) and project lifecycles including a range of developments (traditional & agile) including testing and release practices
  • Experience of identifying and implementing non-technical solutions to business problems, e.g. process improvements, training, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality results in a matrix structure, on time, on budget and in line with requirements
  • Experience of working with senior management, good stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills and able to adopt an assertive approach where appropriate
  • Organised, calm and able to work under pressure in a fast moving environment remaining motivated and committed at all times
  • Previous experience developing requirements for CRM projects and implementation
  • Experience with FSL, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities, Health Cloud would be nice to have.

Education

Educated to degree level in an information technology discipline with specialisation in SAD or Business Analysis

Certifications

ISEB Diploma/CBAP or similar
