The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective administrative support to the Academy Office Manager. You will often be the first point of contact for visitors and parents at the academy and will be required to undertake a range of duties associated with reception and office administration. Assist in supporting the smooth running of the office. Demonstrating a positive commitment to equality and diversity whilst contributing to building the Academy Transformation Trust service culture and team ethos. Adhere to responsibilities & any other duties commensurate with the role.

Duties will include:

  • Undertake reception duties, answering general telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors
  • Provide general administrative support such as photocopying, filing, scanning, processing documents and responding to telephone calls and emails
  • Maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems
  • Undertake typing, word-processing and other IT based tasks, such as drafting letters and using spreadsheets
  • Take notes at meetings
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Maintain stock and supplies, cataloguing and distributing as required
  • Support the office manager in delivering and developing effective administration processes
  • Promoting a business-like environment
  • Support the office manager in delivering and developing professional admissions and induction processes
  • Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents and staff where appropriate
  • Actively engage with the academy’s performance review processes and be responsible for continuous professional development including commitment to the apprenticeship programme
  • Ensure to comply at all times with academy policies, procedures and standards including; health and safety, hygiene, inclusion, and confidentiality

Any other duties as required commensurate to the level of the role
