Overview of the role

McGrady Clarke are a management consultancy providing sustainability and energy solutions to our global client base. We operate across multiple sectors and work with our clients to develop bespoke sustainability strategies.

We are looking for a talented, driven and ambitious apprentice who wants to develop a career in business. We are a growing company based in Ouseburn, the successful apprentice has the chance, upon completion of the apprenticeship, to progress quickly within the company.

This role sits within the administrative function of the business with a strong focus on data & finance management work. You will gain a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role will contain the following duties and responsibilities:

Finance

· Overseeing the end-to-end invoicing process, encompassing both purchase and sales invoices. Key tasks may include monitoring invoice workflow, resolving billing disputes, maintaining records, and identifying process improvements.

· Dealing with supplier queries through the management of the accounts inbox.

· Managing and maintaining accurate cashflow projections on a regular basis in alignment with organisational goals and objectives.

· Reporting all relevant financial data to the Directors and the company accountant in a timely manner.

Data

· Analysing the statistical data from the Energy Market and reporting this to the relevant individuals within the team.

· Collecting and inputting company data into the companies CRM.

. Liaising with external energy supply partners.

. Producing reports for the sales team.

Desirable Skills

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following skills:

· Practical experience within accounting software’s ideally Xero.

· Experience within the invoicing process.

· Intermediate experience of excel with knowledge of formulas within excel

· Strong attention to detail due to the nature of the work.

· Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.

· Ability to prioritise workload due to the variety of work.

Desirable Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following qualifications:

· Maths and English grades 9/6 / A/B or equivalent

· Preferably a Grade A in GCSE Maths
