Job Purpose:

As part of our successful Business Admin Central Services Team, you will be required to support all clients across a fast- paced legal firm caring out a variety of admin tasks. Flexibility, attention to detail are key factors, work under pressure whilst offering dedication and accuracy.

You will work with the team receiving tasks from a Workflow Co-coordinator; however, interaction with clients is a regular occurrence. The candidate must be well presented, polite courteous and have strong customer service skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The tasks Business Administrators are directly responsible for includes, but are not limited to:

  • Regular Floor walks
  • Observation checks and fault reporting
  • Admin General Housekeeping / Tidying Up
  • Archiving
  • Assisting Events Team - Name Tent / Name Badges / Other
  • Assisting With Room / Video Conference - Booking
  • Binding
  • Booking Taxis
  • Chrome River - Expenses
  • Copier Maintenance / Filling Printer with Paper / Change Toner / Un-Jamming Machines
  • Couriers
  • E-filling
  • Faxes
  • Indexing
  • Label Printing
  • Support / Locating Documents / Minor Research
  • Log Calls - Confidential Bins / Wires & Toners Bins/Maintenance
  • Making up Files
  • Meeting Room checks (Tidying the Room)
  • Support Guest services
  • Ordering Business Cards
  • Other Admin Tasks Required
  • Packing / Unpacking
  • Printing / Photocopy / Scanning
  • Refiling Stationery Points
  • Taking Calls - Internal
  • Office Moves
  • Other Ad-hoc duties

Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent English language and communication skills; confident and articulate in all communications, i.e. face-to-face, telephone and written.
  • Ability to cope with varying workloads and flexible to out-of-hours demands
  • People management skills at all levels.
  • Applicants must be highly computer literate and experienced with standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Vision). Experience of desktop publishing applications and Microsoft packages
  • To proactively fulfil the BA Role in all departments and assist all Practice Groups at all levels.
  • The successful candidate requires excellent communication skills, expected to be hands on, proactive and flexible.

Previous experience

  • Strong organisational skills and time management with experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of the Legal sector preferred
