Multi-disciplined consultancy in Cornwall who are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor who is able to hit the ground running with limited technical support. The position is available due to internal promotion, there is definitely room for career progression here. The successful applicant will have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business use as work will be in the South West within Cornwall so you will ideally need to be local. Responsibilities include: ( Site Surveys of buildings and writing reports on existing condition of the building, defects and scope of works ( Some design experience would be useful ( preparing specification of works and tender documents ( Homebuyer Reports (not essential as this can be taught) ( Contract Administration ( Management of small projects i.e. extentions, refurbs... ( Attending site meetings ( Party wall matters The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of industry experience in the role of Building Surveyor and a Building related degree. You will either be at the end of the APC training or be recently chartered. There aren’t enough resources to train someone on the APC so it is important that you are at the end of training and able to carry out this work on your own confidently and professionally. The salary is negotiable reflecting your experience and training and includes a bonus, based on performance, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays TBC, pension, mileage and travel expenses, professional fees and CPD development planning.
