To support the mobilisation of an improved service delivery model the Estates Services team have a new opportunity for a Building Services Maintenance (Mechanical) to support the vision and mission of the STFC.

This is a key service lead role at the Daresbury Laboratory, supporting the Estates Engineering and Maintenance Manager in the provision of efficient, effective, and customer focussed preventative, statutory and compliance maintenance service across the STFC Estate.

The post holder will have responsibility for the management of contracted external resources to ensure all services are delivered according to the established maintenance service level agreements, key performance indicators, legal requirements and agreed customer schedules.

The post-holder will need to be experienced and confident managing external contracted service providers in the delivery of preventative maintenance services to ensure STFC discharges its legislative duty.

This is a fast paced, varied, demanding, and interesting role, in which a productivity focused, highly organised and enthusiastic but methodical professional will thrive.

Essential Shortlisting Criteria:

· A good level of education equivalent to NVQ Level 4/BTEC Higher National Certificate/Diploma, or supervisory experience in a relevant trade

· IOSH Managing Safely

· P901 L8 Legionella Responsible Person

· HSE pressure systems awareness/regulations

· Vented and unvented hot water systems

· Competent Person ventilation/boiler (CPV)
