We are now looking for a Building Fabric Technician to join our busy team in Hyde, SK14! You will perform effective hands-on building services and equipment maintenance within the non-core facilities remit in a manner that upholds the quality of the operation, focussing on safety, output, cost effectiveness and the preservation and improvement of the site machinery and property within budget. Working Hours: 40 hours Mon – Fri 8:30am-5pm Building Fabric Technician Duties: Installation and maintenance of building fabric to include but not limited to carpentry, framework, brackets, furniture, pedestrian / vehicle barriers, signs, fences, painting and decorating, general repairs to pipe services, supports and related ancillary equipment providing steam, hot water, heating, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air, fabrication, welding, metal work and waste management services. Assist in the planning and implementation of the routine maintenance schedule Work within the team to develop competence to continuously improve maintenance capability and effectiveness To be available for call outs and attend as necessary when called out (If required) Assist with and contribute to minor project work as required Liaise with Stakeholders on improvement actions (H&S / Technical / Engineering)

Contribute toward improvements in breakdown reduction & asset availability Ensure facility is compliant with current legislation Add value and contribute toward improvements in buildings, plant and equipment reliability Ensuring effective delivery of planned maintenance and reactive corrective actions Safely managing contractors and agency workers on site when requested Building Fabric Technician Requirements: An experienced and qualified Building Services Technician with experience of working in an FM and/or industrial building services environment, with competence in building maintenance, metalwork and pipe work preparation and installation. Recognised mechanical qualification within the building services sector, Building Maintenance, Facilities Management, Mechanical Fitting &/or Engineering (preferable however experience will be considered) Recognised TIG welding &/or pipefitting qualifications (preferable however experience will be considered) Experience of working in an FM and/or building services environment Industry recognised IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, Safe Contractor qualifications Have good knowledge of building service and infrastructure equipment including; HVAC; refrigeration; DH&CWS, heating and plumbed systems Possess good general maintenance fitting skills and be willing to support other areas of FM activities when required Experience of working within a hygienic food manufacturing environment preferably within a FMCG Dairy environment Good working knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental responsibilities, PUWER, LOLER Understanding and working knowledge of maintenance procedures, record keeping Permit to Work (PTW) and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures If you feel like you meet the above criteria of the Building Fabric Technician, please apply now
