Building Fabric Manager
Permanent, Full Time
Salary: up to £55,000 + Car allowance
Location: Princess Royal Hospital, Orpington, BR6 8ND
We are recruiting for an experienced Building Fabric Manager to lead our Facilities maintenance team at the Princess Royal Hospital in Orpington.
The Building Fabric Manager will understand how to deliver a seamless customer service while managing our Building Fabric maintenance plan and small project repairs/installations to ensure an effective operational delivery. You would be responsible for ensuring compliance while acting as the lead technical escalation point and be pivotal in developing excellent client relationships. The successful candidate will have a carpentry background and have proven experience of managing an engineering team focused on building fabric. The ideal candidate will have experience of PFI contract and worked in a Hospital or Healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous FM & PFI contract exposure - ideally in healthcare
- C&G in Carpentry + HSE qualifications
- Experience of managing engineering team performance
- Experience of delivering against KPIs and working with SLAs
- Excellent partnering, collaborative working, engagement, influencing and communication skills
You would be responsible for:
- Managing a large maintenance team on a large healthcare complex
- Monitoring, and reporting on agreed KPIs - ensuring performance exceeds required deliverables
- Managing sub-contractor performance
- Proactively managing client relationships
- Raising small works quotations up to £100k
- Embedding a culture of Health & Safety compliance across the team
