Starting as a junior on site, and with time spent in the workshop under tutelage of our Workshop Manager, apprentices will be slowly introduced to all elements of the Bricklaying and construction trades.


With one day a week at college (and the occasional full week as per curriculum requirements), apprentices will operate under close supervision on site as they are slowly introduced to the profession. They’ll be taught how to read and analyse building plans, check specifications, determine the most accurate layout, and mark guidelines. We are not just a local company, and there is also the chance to travel the length and breadth of the UK.


To be successful as a Bricklayer, you should be detail-oriented and keen to learn the necessary knowledge and skill to build walls, houses, retail units, and other building / structures. Ultimately, a top-notch Bricklayer should maintain a high standard of workmanship with safety and precision.


Responsibilities will ultimately include: -

  • Analysing and interpreting building plans
  • Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required
  • Measuring distance from reference points
  • Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses
  • Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level
  • Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement
  • Working safely on scaffolds at various heights
  • Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks

A hardworking, positive attitude, with a desire to progress in the Construction industry. Site works are rarely the same twice, so someone adaptable and prepared to assist with other tasks as necessary.

Full time position based on satisfactory achievement of qualification and performance assessment. Potential to develop up to site foreman / site manager level, complemented by formal further formal training.
