Brand Manager

Northampton

  • £40,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary
  • Phone & Laptop
  • 25 Days Holiday
  • Hybrid working – 3 days in office and 2 days working from home.

This family run consumer product business has a huge presence across the globe with a whole host of renowned and recognised brands especially in the USA, UK & Australia.

Manufacturing, designing and selling some of the most innovative household products in the US & UK markets this business has a commitment to high quality products and responsible product development.

In 2019 this business was acquired by a huge and well revered business that has grown them from massively but has maintained that autonomous, family feel environment within the UK.

With the massive investment that this business has they have a great strategy in place, a big marketing budget and hero brands that are stocked and listed across all core Grocery, Variety & Discount multiples. Combine this with innovative design, functional practicality and constant improvement and expansion to the core range of products that work and are trusted by consumers the are dominating their category and going from strength to strength.

As a business they are still relatively small in the UK & Ireland but have great plans in place for next year with an exciting new product launch coming at the beginning of the year which has been 3 years in the making.

The Role:

This role has a big part to play with this business and will play an integral role moving forward as they strengthen relationships with retailers and launch new products and brands into the category.

As Brand Manager you will work with the Head of Sales & Marketing to determine product and brand strategy across the retailer landscape. Part of the role will include working closely with the Commercial Sales team and you will be responsible for the pricing model, product portfolio and campaign management from cradle to grave.

  • Contribute to the development of the Brand strategy.
  • Manage the annual product pricing model to determine profitability of all product lines working to ensure margins and profitability targets are being measured and achieved.
  • Build and be responsible for product strategy, selection and assist with pricing for brands.
  • Activate marketing plans ensuring action plans are delivered on.
  • Analyse UK & Irish market for key trends, identifying new opportunities for products.
  • Develop brand preview marketing presentations and attend & lead customer preview meetings.
  • Continually review performance against key performance metrics, continually optimising plans to create impact.

What you need to bring

This business is no longer classed as an SME globally but still runs this way in the UK. We need self-motivated, highly energetic people who have a passion for brands and bringing joy and delight to consumers.

Brand Management or Product Marketing experience is essential as you will be working with a complex and diverse portfolio of brands.

The ideal for this business is someone who is currently at Assistant Brand Manager level and wants to make that move up to the next level.
