Orbit is a fantastic business and one that’s really going places.

Orbit was formed in 1967 with the aim of providing good-quality housing for people who would otherwise not be able to afford to buy their own home.

Over 50 years later, we’re one of the leading housing providers in the UK. Our services have diversified, our housing portfolio has expanded, and our reputation as an innovator within our sector has grown. But one thing that has never changed. Our belief in people and what they can achieve.

Your role at Orbit.

We are looking for an experienced and creative professional to join our busy Corporate Communications department as a Brand Design Manager, on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Orbit has built a great visual brand, and this role will be integral in ensuring our Brand strategy continues over the next 12 months. You will line manage 4 reports who specialise in graphic design and film content. You will oversee the daily running of visual communications through clarifying briefs and distributing the workload as it comes in, with a hands-on approach where needed.

Third party supplier procurement and management will be a key focus, as well as project work to ensure brand is always considered across the organisation. You will have final sign off for designs and film edits and be responsible for checking documentation before it is published.

What will help you make a difference.

As our ideal Brand Design Manager, you will be a creative professional with previous experience utilising the Adobe Creative Cloud suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Premier Pro, alongside the MS Office suite.

You will also have a strong background building and enhancing a corporate brand strategy, general graphic design, artworking, and digital content updates. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. You will be an influencer at all levels and be able to generate creative ideas for brand growth. This role will require the ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload across multiple projects.

We know that an inclusive environment makes us more accessible and ensures we attract, engage, promote and retain great people. We welcome applications from all individuals regardless of background, age, gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity/nationality, religious belief, faith or disability. As part of our Armed Forces Covenant commitment, we welcome ex-services professionals to consider career opportunities at Orbit.

Why Orbit?

Rewarding your contribution.

For those who want or need more of a work life balance our view is that this role is suitable for WorkSmart. This means we would consider a more flexible working arrangement, where your hours and work location are managed according to business, customer and personal needs. Agile working arrangements will be discussed during the interview process.

Some of our core benefits include:

  • Group bonus potential up to 15% of salary
  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays and the “Orbit day”
  • Private medical insurance
  • Excellent contributory pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • A great pick and mix of flexible benefits including the option to buy and sell holiday and much more
