Working with Locksley Distilling clients both on site in the distillery, and (as restrictions lift) locally and UK wide, to run events for Locksley Distilling. This role covers setting up and running tours, tastings and running our gin school, as well as attending gin events, markets and food and drink shows. You’ll be a brand ambassador as well as getting involved with organising and running lots of different events.

The ideal candidate will be creative and energetic, able to organise and run events and encourage customer engagement with the brand. Adaptable, proactive and able to work with a team. This role will enable you to refine your sales, brand management and marketing skills.

Working with our founders, you’ll be trained to be a Locksley Distilling gin and spirits expert!

Hours of work are flexible and will mainly involve working evenings and weekends, with additional hours in production during the week if desired. Working hours can be discussed and agreed prior to induction, however flexibility is key as the business grows.

Key Tasks of the Role

  • Running events on a weekly basis, from weekend markets, to gin tastings and tours, and gin school
  • Becoming a fount of knowledge on gin
  • Assisting and selling at pop-up events, gin/food and drink festivals and trade shows, locally and nationally
  • Providing samples to customers and educating them about the brand - knowledge of alcohol sales laws and regulations, including operating a Think 25 policy
  • Supporting marketing activity with content creation from events
  • Being a true ambassador to the brand
  • There is also the opportunity to pick up more hours in the shorter term by becoming involved in the production of LD and contract products – bottling, labelling, processing orders for delivery or shipping, general and production related cleaning and sanitizing

  • Previous experience is not essential; your personal qualities and a ’can do’ attitude is what counts!
  • Motivated self-starter – you love leading on projects
  • People person – ability to build strong relationships and work as part of a team
  • Superb Communicator – confident and bubbly, you’re out-going and love to chat – good customer service skills
  • Gin lover! – there will be plenty of samples and tasting sessions
  • Work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and quality – get it right first time
  • Ability to work at pace and within deadlines
  • Practical approach, common sense and proactive
  • Efficient and effective – looks for ways to be most productive in the available time
  • Punctual, reliable, trustworthy, flexible – able to adapt to needs of the business from day to day – happy to muck in and get involved

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week
