As a Branch Operations Manager with Minster, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the warehouse and transport functions within our Barking branch. It’ll be up to you to ensure all tools are in place for the smooth running of your branch, that operational KPI targets are achieved and, most importantly, that excellent customer service is provided. You’ll also be supporting the Regional Operations Director and acting as a main point of contact to maintain a strong health and safety culture, and improve operational activities.


There are some specific skills and experience we are looking for from suitable candidates;

  • Previous experience of managing a team of people, with people development an performance management being a key criteria
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and experience of implementing and managing safety plans and managing behaviours
  • Experience in logistics and planning is desired but not essential as training will be provided.
  • A highly analytical and organised mind with the ability to communicate complex information with ease.
  • The capability to make strong decisions and demonstrate that you are a real problem solver.


What will I be doing in the role?
The Branch Operations Manager is an essential part of creating a positive customer experience with us, working with the branch team you will;

  • Build a proactive health, safety and environment culture. Ensuring that colleagues and customers are free from accidents, and everyone actively promotes a safe and healthy working environment
  • Logistical planning – to ensure cost effective route planning for all deliveries to maintain the lowest cost to serve at the same time as meeting the needs of the customer requirements.
  • Operational Standards – to maintain a warehouse and yard layout which is operationally time efficient, safe and product is stored in a manner so that it is not damaged.
  • Inventory Management – to identify the correct product range for the site, PPI completion, ordering stock to ensure continuous supply for customers and manage stock effective to ensure stock vitality through the team.
