Up to £39,000 + benefits

The Role

The Branch Engagement Manager will manage and deliver branch development operational plans and engagement activities with volunteers and members. You will build and develop relationships with key stakeholders and work with volunteers across the branch network. The Branch Engagement Manager will provide focused support for branches, identifying regional support and campaigns, special interest groups and networks to raise the profile of CIPD voice to ensure we are delivering enhanced value for CIPD members, customers and regional stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Contributing to and supporting branch development engagement, and operational plans to deliver the branch development strategy.
  • Working with relevant CIPD colleagues and volunteer networks to deliver and grow greater connectivity.
  • Managing relationships with branch volunteers supporting focused regional activity and development, membership service and growth.
  • Developing and managing relationships with local organisations and other professional bodies to raise the profile of CIPD in a local context.
  • Managing CIPD members networks, special interest groups and activities to grow and enable them to deliver the CIPD strategy across the region, including regular networking and planning meetings for Chairs and Committee roles.
  • Leading branch engagement streams and connecting stakeholders to internal CIPD teams to develop and continue collaborative ways of working and deliver CIPD strategy.
  • Planning and delivering branch development events for volunteers and hosting branch development meetings.
  • Supporting the management of the branch business planning process, working with internal teams and branches on their submissions to ensure there is no regional clash, duplication of effort across branches and ensuring alignment to CIPD strategic priorities and financial targets and costings.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to key stakeholders on CIPD key themes and priorities to support engagement and CIPD Voice.
  • Maintaining alignment to Investing in Volunteers (IiV) standards to develop and improve the customer experience and support to the IiV accreditation and re-accreditation processes.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • A collaborative team player with a demonstratable passion for delivering a customer centric service and experience.
  • Level 5 CIPD qualification (or a willingness to work towards) with a keen and demonstratable interest in HR, LD and OD.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing events and hosting meetings.
  • Experience in encouraging buy in, uptake and onboarding of new system for customers.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder, ability to build rapport swiftly and consistently.
  • Experienced people manager with the ability to coach, nurture and develop a team.
  • High empathy with the ability to understand and facilitate different perspectives.
  • Experience in delivering effective quality assurance processes and governance mechanisms whilst maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Faces challenges and obstacles with a positive solution focused approach.
  • Effective project management/organizational skills with the ability to deliver as variety of programs of work end to end.
  • Able to understand and manage web-based and digital solutions within the role.
  • Strong skills in the full Office 365 suite including Teams, Zoom, Eventbrite, Marketing Cloud, YouTube, Survey Monkey and other systems to enable customers in the successful use of these tools.
  • Experience of collating management data and producing monthly reports.
