Bookkeeper

Crosshills area, Keighley

Up to £25k-£30k FTE

Our Group are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to assist in managing the day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organisational skills and accuracy are essential skills for this position.

You will be a skilled multi-tasker, reliable and committed to consistently meeting deadlines, with a can-do, hands-on flexible attitude and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Balance and maintain accurate ledgers (sales, purchase, cashbook, nominal)
  • Setup supplier invoices for payment
  • Process Expenses and set-up for payment
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Client Account Reconciliation
  • Monthly processing of payroll
  • Assist with Month End Process
  • Individual & Group Management Accounts
  • Fixed Assets, Accruals, Prepayments
  • Posting of Sales Revenue
  • Assist with quarterly VAT return
  • Assist with Yearly PSA return
  • Assist with Year End Process
  • Ad hoc requests
  • Filing of paperwork

Skills and Experience

  • Accounting Qualification (or Part Qualified)
  • Min 3 years’ experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll and payroll reports
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Extensive experience with data entry & record keeping
  • Experience using Sage 200 is essential, intercompany transaction experience preferred
  • Experience using Sage 50 payroll
