Due to ongoing expansion, our busy Finance Team are seeking an additional Bookkeeper.

In this permanent Bookkeeper job you will work within a small and friendly finance team of three people, reporting to the Finance Manager. This is role is offered on a full time basis, Monday-Friday and working hours are 8:30am-5:30pm. This is a varied role encompassing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, intercompany and banking. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • End to end Accounts Payable - processing supplier/vendor invoices, setting up new suppliers, supplier account and statement reconciliation, processing employee expenses
  • End to end Accounts Receivable - Credit Control, customer account reconciliation, preparation of weekly cashflow report
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Processing intercompany transactions

What you’ll need to succeed
The successful candidate will evidence a minimum of two years experience in a recent, relevant Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant role, ideally within a SME business. International/multi currency exposure is highly advantageous. You’ll be a self-starter who is able to work on your own initiative as well as contributing to team success and culture. You will be deadline driven, detail conscious, and adept at working within a fast-paced working environment. You will be confident using Excel to an intermediate level (inclusive of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables). To be considered for this role you must have right to work in the UK and not require sponsorship.

Experience:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficient in using Xero accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
