Bodyshop Technician

The Figaro Shop has an exciting position available for a full-time Bodyshop Technician, working on Classic Cars to join their successful Body Shop and Classic Car Refurbishment garage, based in Didcot. The successful candidate will earn a basic salary of £21,000-£27,000 with an OTE of £30,000-£38,000 dependent on company revenue and overtime.

Role Requirements
  • Experience and/or qualifications in Panel Beating and Welding and Motor Vehicle Fitting would be beneficial.
  • Experience of working within a team and capable of working efficiently in a team environment.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative whilst following clear instructions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Mechanical knowledge or a keen interest in motor vehicles would be beneficial.
  • A full driving licence is required for this position.

Role Responsibilities
  • Restoring classic cars
  • Repairing bodywork on modern cars
  • Panel beating and/or welding
  • Discussing each job with the workshop manager.
  • Working from a comprehensive pre-agreed estimate.
  • Looking for hidden damage.
  • Working closely with other team members.
