Company description

My Vital Metrics is London’s only dedicated Body composition and fitness testing lab for the public.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Body Composition and Fitness testing consultant at My Vital Metrics is the primary interface for our clients. When clients come in, you will conduct the tests which they have requested. This will be either a DEXA scan for body composition, a Resting Metabolic Rate test or a VO2Max test. You will then go through the results with them and explain their meaning and how the client can apply this knowledge to direct their training and fitness goals. Between clients you will write up their reports to send to them, conduct calls to potential new customers, research scientific journals for key relevant data, and work on regular fitness and nutrition based blog-posts for My Vital Metrics’ website and social media.

Knowledge and experience required:
The role requires a thorough grounding in nutritional and sports science knowledge. You should be able to talk confidently and in appropriate scientific terms about the results and about the subject generally. You should also be able to field related questions from clients. In addition to the raw scientific acumen, you should also have the gravitas that comes from a number of years of practical experience advising clients on issues of training, nutrition and health. For non-client facing tasks such as research, you should be able to form an opinion on the strengths or weaknesses of studies in nutrition and sports science and be able to distil the key facts from scientific papers.

Personal Qualities Required:
· This is primarily a client-facing customer-service role.

· Therefore you must be well presented at all times. Having genuine care for the health of all our clients, and care about the advice we give and how we give it is of primary importance.

· The ability to listen and observe clients to pick up on the verbal and non-verbal cues and clues which will help us to direct their health plan.

· Strong sense of personal responsibility and dependability as you will be working with highly advanced medical equipment which could be very dangerous if misused.

· Good attention to detail and relative aptitude with computer systems
