It is not a job that really exists today, and we are looking for a special kind of person. Someone who is interested in design, but who is also inspired by the intellectual challenge of understanding the complex ideas that grow out of the data and refining that into a clear visual message.

If successful you will assume responsibility for BMW data, and the story it tells. You will be responsible for presenting information in an engaging and informative format, appropriate for the audience of one of DEKRA’s key accounts in the Automotive sector, BMW.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for:

  • Creative development, management and delivery of internal and external (Retailer) communications and presentations. This could be via publications on Retailer and brand internal intranets or direct communication (including presenting in meetings/webinars etc).
  • Developing presentation materials, desktop publishing and infographic tools would be required.
  • Taking complex information and disseminating this, creating clear and understandable documentation for both on and offline channels.
  • Reporting regularly and accurately on your activities and project progress.
  • Creation of newsletters and any other adhoc requests from the client.
  • Attending meetings as required at client offices and remotely and presenting your findings.
  • Ability to make data accessible, understandable, usable and visual

In order to be successful in this role, you must:

  • Have an understanding of some of the industry standard software apps i.e. Adobe Suite, PageMaker, Movie Maker etc in order to have an understanding of the concepts of what can be developed. However, they will be mostly limited to only BMW Approved applications i.e. MS Office Professional Suite.
  • Have at least 2 years’ previous experience in a similar role within a large corporate environment.
  • Be experienced in creating, authoring and publishing content for company intranet pages.
  • Be an excellent relationship builder, both internally and externally.
  • Have the ability to interpret provided data and information and present this.
  • Be experienced developing a story from data and the information, enabling others to understand key messages.
  • Have strong data visualisation skills and be a creative and inventive thinker.
  • Have excellent grammatical and spelling skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • An understanding and experience of web publishing tools would be favourable, but not mandatory.
  • Be able to work across multiple projects managing your time effectively and meeting set deadlines.
  • Have strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Be experienced in using software to enable the creation of on and offline documentation, videos and animations.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills including Powerpoint, Word, Publisher and Excel
  • Multimedia development and tools experience including Adobe Creative Software would be advantageous.
