Chubb now has an opportunity for a Billing Manager to work within our Blackburn based ’Best in Class’ Finance Shared Service Centre. The main goal of this role is to lead, manage and support a team of Billing Controllers in delivering departmental key performance indicators. This role would suit someone who has previously worked in a high-volume transactional processing environment, has a passion for process improvement and has previous supervisory experience.
What will I be doing as Billing Manager?
  • Lead a billing team, managing the workload within a team and ensuring all required targets and deadlines are met
  • Develop processes for the continuous improvement of the billing function, working with both internal and external stakeholders to develop more efficient processes for invoice production
  • Production of business metrics and reports as well as supporting in the preparation of financial information for month end
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, local branches, finance and sales
  • Ensure both internal and external customers are provided with prompt and accurate resolutions to a variety of billing disputes/queries
To Be Successful In This Role You Will
  • Have experience of successfully leading a team from a customer service / operations background
  • Have an understanding of basic financial principles
  • Be systems savvy with experience of using a large ERP such as JDE, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Be an effective communicator with the ability to build relationships
  • Have the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement under pressure
  • Be able to motivate individuals and provide a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Be willing to provide support during busy periods by undertaking processing activities
