Job Purpose of the Billing Accountant:

The purpose of this role is to ensure all Clients month end processes are followed. Reporting in a timely and efficient manner in order to close the file in line with month end deadlines. To facilitate Client invoice queries and recognise any training issues. Promoting a positive Client experience of
Seko.

Key responsibilities of the Billing Accountant:

  • Collating Supplier Invoice Data for Billing and Finance Teams.
  • Reports for Month End Billing WMS Transactions,
  • Create month end back up reports for outsourced distribution services used in the DC
  • Ensure all non-WMS activity, (VAS) is up to date and recorded for month end billing purposes.
  • Document temporary labour supplier invoices and apportion to relevant Client.
  • Transfer PO log details ensuring all costs are captured for the correct period.
  • Proactively chase any outstanding invoices in order to close off in the same period.
  • Ensuring correct costs are accrued on the job files.
  • Highlighting accuracy issues and queries with Account Management.
  • Assist in the preparation of Client Invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Preparing Customer Profitability reports for review with Operational Management and Directors
  • Dealing with Customer queries in a quick and efficient manner
  • Gathering and analysing data to drive efficiency within the warehouse and increase profitability.
  • Assist in the preparation of the yearly budget as well quarterly forecasts.
  • Monthly Variance analysis report to Budget, prior year and forecast with commentaries.
  • Assist in pricing and onboarding of new customers from a financial and billing aspect.
  • Open book accounting for contract logistics
  • Build relationships with SEKO Suppliers ensuring competitive rates are acquired.

Skills and qualifications of the Billing Accountant:

  • Qualified accountant
  • Previous experience in same or similar role is essential
  • Demonstrable experience in open booking accounting for contract logistics
  • Have a sound understanding of the Warehousing and Logistics business.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral & written
  • Attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good PC skills in all Microsoft Office packages (Excel Essential)
  • WMS (Warehouse Management System – Desirable)

Details of the Billing Accountant:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 8am-4pm
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Permanent
