Due to continued growth in our pupil numbers, we are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Support Lead to join our friendly and busy Pastoral team.

Reporting to the Deputy Headteacher (Pastoral Care), the Behaviour Support Lead will manage the Damascus Internal Exclusion room by providing support to the curriculum provision and learning support for targeted students at risk of significant under-achievement.

The key purposes of the role are:

  • To manage the learning of pupils who are in the ‘Damascus’ Internal Exclusion room to ensure students are focused and on task at all times while in internal exclusion and to ensure they are making progress in line with their individual targets and needs.
  • To provide behaviour intervention support, through mentoring and coaching as required.
  • To provide cover/supervision for other lessons when no students are in internal exclusion.

The successful candidate will be patient, professional and caring and able to juggle conflicting priorities in a calm and efficient manner.

Grade/Scale Point -H5, £23,857 - £25,611 (£20370-£21867 actual salary)

Full time/Part time -37 hours per week – 38 weeks per year term time only plus insets (39 weeks)

Hours - 8.00am to 4pm – Monday to Thursday and 8.00am – 3.30pm on Fridays
