Beet Weighbridge Operator

  • Campaign rate £16.02 per hour
The position is TEMPORARY, employment will run from September 2023 to February 2024 (to be confirmed).

Laboratory Shift Analyst

  • Campaign rate : £16.07 per hour
  • Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (12 hour shift basis, 10am to 10pm)

Main Scope of Roles


Beet Weighbridge Operator
  • We receive upwards of 500 lorries a day, delivering sugar beet to our site seven days a week. The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are correctly registered to our site, are authorised to deliver and correctly weigh in and out.
  • Whilst the weighing operation itself is carried out by the drivers, the role is strongly focussed on driver safety, compliance and communications. Working alongside the Beet Intake Team and Factory Operations Team to ensure all critical parameters are adhered to.

Laboratory Shift Analyst
  • Sampling process streams across a large manufacturing site and carrying out routine analysis. Communicating the results to Shift Operatives and reporting to the Shift Operations Manager/Operations Chemist.

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies


Beet Weighbridge Operator
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Good IT knowledge
  • Experience of weighbridge operations is desirable
  • Good timekeeping and communication skills
  • A team player
  • Knowledge of Citrix applications, Force24 and Docusign is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided

Laboratory Shift Analyst
  • Good communication and timekeeping skills
  • Ability to carry out simple mathematical calculations.
  • Previous experience working in the laboratory environment.
  • Scientific qualifications at GCSE/GCE level.
